“Optimization of production, warehousing, procurement and logistics processes using information and communication technologies”

Plastform d.o.o., within the Call for Proposals “Improving the competitiveness and efficiency of SMEs through information and communication technologies (ICT) – 2”, from the Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020 programme, is implementing a project entitled “Optimization of production, warehousing, procurement and logistics using information and communication technologies”. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.

The implementation of the project began on October 21, 2019, and the duration of the project is 18 months, i.e. until April 21, 2021.

Project Summary: The problem of Plastform d.o.o. is the lack of production and storage capacities and suboptimal management of production, warehousing, procurement and logistics processes, which results in waste of resources (raw materials and materials, time), i.e. reduces the competitiveness of applicants, which poses a danger to achieving the set business goals, i.e. a danger in the implementation of the planned growth of production volume. The aim of the project is to optimize business processes of production, warehousing, procurement and logistics, which will be achieved by implementing appropriate ICT solutions and integrating into the existing ERP system. The target groups are employees, clients and suppliers.

The project will directly contribute to the increase of employment (at least 2 new employees, 68 total employees), the improvement of 4 business processes (production, warehousing, procurement and logistics), as well as the increase of sales revenues.

This result will be achieved through the successful implementation of the following activities:
1.  Procurement and implementation of new ERP modules for optimization of production processes and storage processes
2. Procurement of ICT solutions for the production of custom-made tools and equipment and education of workers
3. Procurement of ICT solutions for plant and equipment management and employee education
4. Procurement of computer equipment and accompanying licenses required for the implementation of the project
5. Promotion and visibility
6. Project Management
