As of March 1st, 2025, the implementation of the project titled “Improved waCOKL EPS plate – Development of an innovative COKL EPS insulation board with enhanced water absorption properties”, reference number NPOO.C3.2.R3-I1.05.0395, has been successfully completed. The project was co-financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) under the Call for Proposals: Proof of Concept – Second Call.

The duration of the project was 12 months, from March 1st, 2024, to March 1st, 2025.

The project aimed to explore the possibility of reducing the water absorption of COKL EPS boards. This innovation significantly enhances PLASTFORM’s global competitiveness in the construction insulation materials market. Through raw material testing, optimization of production parameters, and prototype testing, the project made a substantial contribution to the development of innovative solutions in the construction sector. The main goal was to reduce the water absorption of Plastopor COKL 100 boards to extremely low levels, achieving a result of 0.7% volumetric water absorption.
